The aim of the studies is to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary to carry out tasks in the field of civil protection and civil defence in accordance with the provisions of the Act of 5 December 2024 on Civil Protection and Civil Defence and its implementing acts, with particular emphasis on the implementation of practical solutions in public administration, public institutions and non-governmental and private organisations.
The study programme is designed to prepare students to acting effectively in crisis situations - from floods, contamination and evacuations to military emergencies. It combines elements of law, management, logistics and modern technology with the practical dimension of the functioning of the public safety system. Graduates gain the skills needed to interpret legislation, implement operational procedures, keep records of security installations collective and coordinating the activities of the various actors and services.
Duration of study: 2 semesters (number of teaching hours: 190)
Among other things, classes are conducted online via an e-learning platform. Students receive access to teaching materials and consultations with lecturers. This mode enables participants to attend lectures in real time, regardless of where they live.

It should be noted that the postgraduate course Practical Dimension of Civil Protection and Civil Defence is of an in-service character and does not confer the qualifications for the subject matter in question set out in Appendix No. 9 of the Regulation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration of 06.02.2025 on training programmes in civil protection and civil defence and the requirements for training providers.
