Scientific conference at WSKZ
The Higher School of Vocational Training invites you to conference entitled.
„Disappearances of Persons in the Light of Forensic Psychology and Criminology – Challenges of Modern Investigations”. It will be held on 17 April 2026 at the University's premises.
The event constitutes a space for the exchange of knowledge and experience between representatives of science and practice. Among the conference attendees will be, among others:.
- Psychologists;
- lawyers;
- Forensic scientists;
- people involved in search and rescue operations.
Special edition of the journal for conference attendees
With the conference attendees in mind, we have prepared Special issue of the journal „Prawo i Bezpieczeństwo – Law & Security”. This is a publication created specifically for the event and forming its scientific development. People who register for in-person participation via application form, will receive a free copy of the publication.
The magazine contains An interdisciplinary perspective on the issue of missing persons.
From forensic psychology and criminalistics, through modern identification technologies, to legal, procedural, and international cooperation aspects.

In this special edition, you will find articles relating to the most important issues and other relevant aspects of the problem, showing its complexity and diverse research and practical perspectives. These include, among others, studies on the psychological and social determinants of disappearances, as well as:
