Spotkania Władz Wydziału Nauk Społecznych i Technicznych ze studentami – dialog, konkretne wnioski i wspólne kierunki działań
On days 14–15 March 2026. took place Meetings of the Authorities of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Technology with students directions Management, Internal Security, Criminology, Administration and Law. The discussions were direct and focused on current matters concerning the Faculty's operations, the organisation of the study process, and students' needs.
The meetings were a space for open dialogue. Students presented their Opinions, comments, and suggestions for changes. The discussion focused on teaching, organisational, and student activity matters. Many of the topics raised concerned the daily lives of students within the academic environment.
Faculty Management – direct contact and practical actions
The meetings were attended by:
- Dr hab. Irena Malinowska, Prof. WSKZ – Dean of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Engineering – underlined the importance of constant contact with students and the necessity of responding to their needs promptly,
- Dr Sylwia Zakrzewska – Vice-Dean for Student Affairs – she highlighted the role of dialogue in improving the educational process and developing student initiatives.
Both representatives of the Faculty Authorities pointed out that direct conversations are one of the key tools for building the quality of education and strengthening relationships with the academic community.
What was the subject of the talks?
During the meetings, the following were discussed, among other things:
- organisation of the teaching process and classes,
- administrative matters and communication with students,
- Department's functioning in operational terms,
- The development of student activity and grassroots initiatives.
Students actively participated in the discussion, pointing out specific areas requiring improvement and proposing solutions.
Student activity and development opportunities
A key element of the meetings was the presentation of planned events, initiatives, and projects aimed at students. These included:
- conferences scientific and events departmental,
- Workshop delivered by experts and practitioners,
- international mobility programme Erasmus+,
- activity academic societies i Student Government.
The importance of active participation in university life was emphasised as a way to build professional skills and experience.
Openness and cooperation as a foundation
The Faculty authorities clearly stated that regular meetings with students are a permanent element of the unit's management and development. They allow for better identification students' needs and adapt activities to real challenges.
The meetings proceeded in a factual and constructive atmosphere, and their the effect is a series of conclusions, which will form the basis for further actions of the Department.
